50th anniversary
The Paris Club celebrated, on 14 June 2006, its fithieth anniversary by holding an international policy forum
As to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, the Paris Club organized, on 14 June 2006 in Paris, an international policy forum during which international high-profile speakers assessed the activity of the Paris Club since 1956 and debated the principal stakes concerning the international financial architecture and the restoration of debt sustainability.
The forum gathered more than 300 participants :
- Representatives of Paris Club's member counties
- Representatives of countries that have recently been granted a debt treatment
- Representatives of international organizations
- Academics
- Members of NGOs
- Journalists
